The Ivory Coast Story
La Concorde was a well known ship that made many treks from France, down the west coast of Africa, carrying trade goods of the day and fairly often, slaves. After leaving the Ivory Coast area, the infamous Blackbeard decided this would be his flagship, commandeered it, and renamed it Queen Anne's Revenge.
Ivory Coast is the world's largest exporter of cocoa, supplying the giants in the industry. Ivory Coast is also sitting on vast deposits of gold ore. It almost seems obvious the world's most infamous pirate would be hanging around it's waters.
